From Dallas (DAL)
Dallas Love Field
- Also: Addison Airport (ADS)
To Aspen (ASE)
Aspen-Pitkin County Airport (Sardy Field)
- Also: Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE)
- Love Field (DAL) is about six miles from downtown Dallas. Addison (ADS) is the shorter drive from Plano, Frisco, and the northern suburbs.
- Up to four skiers and their bags fit a light jet. Six or more will want a midsize, since Aspen’s 7,800-foot elevation limits how much weight an aircraft can carry out on the way home.
- If snow or low cloud closes Aspen, the backup is Eagle County (EGE), about 70 miles by road, and we’ll have a car arranged for the drive.
- Texas schools take spring break in March, and Aspen’s ramp fills those weeks as it does over Christmas and Presidents’ Day.
