Art Basel Miami Beach
Early December · Miami Beach, Florida
Art Basel Miami Beach opens to the public on Friday, December 4, 2026, at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The airports and the causeways fill the same week, so plan the drive across the bay along with the flight.

Beyond the fair days
Invitation-only days come before the public opening, and satellite fairs and private events run across Miami all week. The airports stay busy well beyond the fair’s own dates.
Reservations and event fees
In recent years, Opa Locka and Miami International have both required landing and departure reservations during fair week, and some private terminals have added an event fee.
When the ramp is full
Your first-choice airport may have room for a drop-off but nowhere to park until the return. The aircraft then waits at another airport with space and flies back in to collect you at the time you set.
Crossing Biscayne Bay
Miami International is about 10 miles from the convention center and Opa Locka about 12, and both sit on the mainland across the bay. The causeways slow down as the week builds, so the closer airport isn’t always the quicker drive. Fort Lauderdale Executive, 28 miles north, suits a stay in Broward County. We’ll compare the drive from each for your dates and have the car waiting at the aircraft.
