Seattle

Washington

Be downtown about 15 minutes after landing at Boeing Field (BFI), or use Renton (RNT) for the quicker drive to Bellevue and the Eastside. Each is closer to its side of town than Sea-Tac.

Airports.

  • BFIKing County International (Boeing Field), about four miles south of downtown, with a 10,000-foot runway
  • PAEPaine Field in Everett, north of the city
  • RNTRenton Municipal, at the south end of Lake Washington, closer to Bellevue and the Eastside

Boeing Field for downtown

Boeing Field is about four miles south of downtown, and its 10,000-foot main runway takes the largest business jets. For trips north of the city, Paine Field (PAE) in Everett is the closer choice.

Renton for the Eastside

Renton, at the south end of Lake Washington, saves time on the drive to Bellevue. Its runway is shorter than Boeing Field’s, so we’ll check your aircraft against it before you fly.

Low cloud most of the year

July and August are the driest months, and the rest of the year brings rain and low cloud. Boeing Field’s main runway has a precision instrument approach, and Sea-Tac (SEA) or Paine Field is the alternate.
