Airports.
- SLCSalt Lake City International, about 35 miles west on I-80, staffed around the clock
- HCRHeber Valley, south of Park City on US-40, with one 6,900-foot runway and no tower
Salt Lake City, around the clock
Salt Lake City International is about 35 miles away, usually 35 to 45 minutes on I-80, and longer in a winter storm. With 12,000-foot runways and staff on the field at all hours, it handles larger jets and late arrivals.
Heber Valley, closer in
Heber Valley is a drive of about 20 to 30 minutes from Park City. It has one 6,900-foot runway at about 5,600 feet, no control tower, and staff during the day only. Some aircraft work well there and some don’t, and we’ll confirm the fit for yours before you fly.
Peak ski dates
Park City Mountain treats Thanksgiving weekend, the week after Christmas, and the Martin Luther King and Presidents’ Day weekends as peak dates. From 2027, the Sundance Film Festival is held in Boulder, Colorado, instead of here in late January.
