Palm Springs
California
With an airport at each end of the Coachella Valley, you can land close to the club you’re playing. Palm Springs International (PSP) is about two miles from downtown, and Thermal (TRM) is about 15 minutes from La Quinta.

Palm Springs or Thermal
Tell us the club or the address and we’ll lay out the drive from each. PSP has a 10,000-foot runway and customs on request, and it’s the one for downtown. Thermal’s runway is about 8,500 feet, and it’s the easier choice for La Quinta and the south end of the valley.
Golf season and the summer heat
Golf season runs from fall into spring. In July the average high is about 106 degrees, which is hard on golfers and on aircraft performance, so summer departures go best in the morning.
Coachella and Stagecoach
Coachella takes two weekends in April at the polo grounds in Indio, and Stagecoach follows the weekend after. All three weekends are busy at both airports, so they’re the dates to settle first. The PGA Tour stops in La Quinta in January.
