The 75,000-pound limit
Naples is closed to aircraft heavier than 75,000 pounds, which rules out the biggest long-range jets such as the Gulfstream G650. If that’s the aircraft you want, we’ll plan on Southwest Florida International (RSW) in Fort Myers, about 40 minutes’ drive north.
Overnight quiet hours
From 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., the airport asks every aircraft to stay on the ground. The request is voluntary, and flight times are planned to respect it.
Customs and the Bahamas
Customs is on the field with advance notice, so a flight home from the Bahamas can clear right at Naples. The main runway is 6,600 feet.
