Napa Valley
California
Skip the drive up from the Bay Area and land 15 minutes from downtown Napa. Napa County (APC) is at the south end of the valley, and St. Helena is about 40 minutes up the road.
Airports.
- APCNapa County, about five miles south of the city of Napa
- STSCharles M. Schulz Sonoma County, near Santa Rosa, closer to Healdsburg and the Sonoma side
A runway just under 6,000 feet
Napa County’s longest runway is just under 6,000 feet, which works for many jets. With a larger cabin, the passenger load and the afternoon heat decide whether it’s long enough on the day.
Healdsburg and the Sonoma side
If you’re staying in Healdsburg or on the Sonoma side, Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County (STS) near Santa Rosa is usually the shorter drive. Its main runway is about the same length as Napa’s, so the drive decides it.
Harvest and BottleRock
Harvest, from about August into October, is peak season in the valley, and we’ll start on options a few weeks sooner for those dates. BottleRock fills the city of Napa over Memorial Day weekend.
