Jackson Hole

Wyoming

Land inside Grand Teton National Park, about seven miles from the town of Jackson, and be at Teton Village in about 35 minutes on a winter road. The park shapes how the airport runs, down to the hours you can land.

Airports.

  • JACJackson Hole, inside Grand Teton National Park, about seven miles north of Jackson
  • IDAIdaho Falls Regional, about 90 miles west, with a 9,000-foot runway
  • DIJDriggs-Reed in Idaho, on the far side of Teton Pass from Jackson

One runway at 6,450 feet

Jackson Hole (JAC) has a single runway, 6,300 feet long at roughly 6,450 feet above sea level, and that limits which aircraft make sense. We’ll show you the cabins that fit the runway and your group. Teton Village is about 21 miles by road.

Quiet hours over the park

To keep noise down over the park, the airport asks private aircraft to avoid taking off or landing at night. The curfew is voluntary, and the flight is planned to land before it starts.

If snow closes Jackson

Severe winter weather is possible from November through April. Idaho Falls (IDA) is about 90 miles away, roughly two hours by road. Driggs (DIJ) looks closer on the map, but the direct road crosses Teton Pass, which closes at times for avalanche control.
